These days many people all over the world live in big cities like Warsaw or Cracow. Our children grow up in them enjoying the view of concrete world of blocks and endless road tracks not even having a chance to take a breath of fresh air. Is living in the city worth it? Let’s take a closer look at this matter and consider a few of the pros and cons to get the more general view.

First of all, life in a city offers youngsters growing up in them better education prospects and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. There are many workshops where various skills are practiced from learning music or foreign languages to painting or even sculpting. Moreover, it is a lot easier to move around in the city thanks to numerous lines of buses and trams. In addition, after graduation you will have much better career prospects here than in the countryside.

On the other hand, public transport is very crowded, hence a great number of private cars which cause even bigger traffic jams. Polluted air is everywhere around us, not to mention the lack of plants in the city. Finally, living in a big city can be also very dangerous. Car accidents, robberies, drugs and violence are not a big deal.

To sum up, I think that life in a city has as many advantages as disadvantages. For instance, easy access to entertainment is also connected with easy access to alcohol and drugs. Every coin has two sides. Which one will you choose?
