Standards of morality generally improve as societies become more developed

It is difficult to answer this question, becouse we don’t know one definition of the word morality. Everyone has its own morality, however all of us know the basic norms of behaviour. For example sound in mind man knows that killing is not acceptable, or it’s bad to steal something. But do all people follow these norms? I was lucky that I wasn’t born in Africa or in Afganistan, where wars never end.

People often haven’t got any water to drink or food to eat, so they must steal it. I don’t know if we can call it immorality, because they do it in order to stay alive, to sunvive.

On the other hand in more developed countries people have an opportunity to earn for their living. They live in more or less friendly environment, but they don’t think about commiting crimes, because they are afraid of losing everything they possess.

But you can also be immoral even if you don’t break the law. For example, if you bully other people to get rid of stress, or you take adventage of somebody’s bad situation.

In Africa people govern themselves with their own, cruel rules, but in a case someone needs some help people unite, because they share the same fate.

To sum up, the level of morality depends on the man himselves, but if you are a member of a well developed country it is easier for you to be a better man.
