Poverty

Poverty is a very big problem all over the world even in the developed countries. But poverty is not just about money. Poverty also means not having enough food, education, healthcare. There are three different kind of poverty: absolute poverty what is defined as the lack of sufficient resources, relative poverty when you have less money than the average and can’t buy basic needs, and the third one is social exclusion.

Social exclusion is a new term what is used when individuals or areas suffer from problems such as unemployment, poor skills, low incomes or high crime environment. In most of the developing countries there are not enough jobs for all people and those people who work have a very low income like $1 or $2 for an hour. However, poverty not just the problem of the developing countries, it is also a problem in the developed countries. In Hungary the situation is better than in India or South Africa, but it is still a problem. People whose earning is below 260 euros a month, what is about 77,000 Forints, considered poor. In Hungary it is 46 percent of the population.

I think that earnings in developing countries could be increased to more than 11$ an hour. Governments could make more work places, build homeless shelters where homeless people could sleep. Governments should make foundations where citizens could send food, clothes and other thing that they don’t and it will be delivered to other poor countries.
