book review
Book review One of the best books I’ve ever read was “Martyn Pig”. It was written by an English writerKevin Brooks best known for young-adult novels. The “Martyn Pig” is a story about a teenage boy, who defends himself from his father’s attack by pushing him and then boy’s father hits his head to furnace and dies. Martyn gets frightened, panics and doesn’t call the police. His neighbor Aleksy finds out, what happened and offers to help.

The best bit was when teenagers created a plan how to cover Martyns father’s death and get rid the dead body. By the end of the story, they find out, that boy’s father won a lot of money in the loto, so Aleksy tells her mother about that and they create a plan how to trick Martyn and steal the money. The most important character is Martyn – he is timid, but smart. He even manages to trick his aunt about father’s death. Another fascinating character is Aleksy – she is unbelievably smart, good actress, she can imitate anyone, so she manages to trick Martyn easily. I enjoyed the story because it was very gripping, interesting and there was unexpected and unbelievable ending. I was shocked for a while when I finished this book. To sum up, it is a very thought-provoking story to read. However, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes detectives. It is a book I will remember for a long time.
