Does friendship play an important role in a person’s life? Frankly speaking, people cannot live a full life alone. Everyone needs a person who can encourage when you are sad, entertain when you are lonesome and listen when you have some problems. This person is called “the best friend”. Unfortunately, good friends are hard to find. However, I am a lucky woman because I have such a person in my life. Her name is Regina and we have known each other since our childhood. She is the kindest and sweetest person I have ever met. She will do anything for me. She is my true friend. As a famous quotation says, “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. Actually, one of the most important aspects of our friendship is being very loyal to each other. Through thick and thin, we will always support and help each other. By the way, I think that Regina is my special friend because we have so much in common. We like the same type of music and can appreciate the same type of literature. Furthermore, we share the same hobbies such as painting, embroidering and knitting. We contact each other frequently and never get tired of speaking with each other. As a matter of fact, Regina is a person who offers her love and respect. She is always interested in what I am doing and how I am. Regina is a trustworthy and reliable person. I can tell her big secrets and she will keep them under any circumstances. She will never leave or betray me. Also, she has an open mind. If she does not like something, she will be completely honest about it. Moreover, she has a good sense of humor. She can make me smile or laugh when I am sad. To tell the truth, Regina does not change me, but she makes me a better person. To sum up, human interaction is necessity to survival, but a developed friendship is essential to the successful well-being of anyone. A close friendship is one of the most valuable and important things in a person’s life. I believe that a life without a friend is not life at all. I am extremely grateful to my best friend for her long-lasting friendship. She is a person who makes me laugh a little louder, smile a litter wider and live a little better. I hope that we will be on good terms and remain close in the future.
