One of the best books I have ever read is If I Stay, by Gayle Forman. It is a novel about life or death. The book received positive feedback from the audience, so it was decided to create a movie which was released in 2014.

The story is about 17-year-old Mia. It seems she has a perfect life. But one snowy morning everything changes. She loses her parents and a beloved little brother in a car accident. Mia survives it, but gets into coma. She experiences a state where she can watch everything around her. Most importantly, Mia has to make a choice whether she should stay or go.

I enjoyed this book because it made me calm and relaxed but at the same time it is gripping and fast-moving. I was thrilled how Mia’s life should’ve been incompatible but actually is too ideal to be realistic. Only her inner experiences show difficulties she faces and a unique point of view to deal with them.

All in all, it is not a simple love story and raises important questions about life. If you are looking for something easy to read but not worthless, this book will be the right decision.
