There are cites which preserved vintage castles and fortress in Ukraine. They are known for their beauty, mystique and extraordinary. Today I`ll tell you about some of them. Lviv has many castles.One of them is Olesko Castle. This castle is the most ancient castle in western Ukraine and one of the most famous castles of Lviv region. The walls of the castle survived many battles and wars. The castle was revived from the total devastation and after the restoration, it plays the role of the museum.

Next fortress, located in the town of Hawtin, is Khotym fortress. This thousand-year fortress witnessed many wars. For centuries it was a center of crafts and trade. It organizes various festivals and reproduction of historic battles. The walls of this fortress become stages for filming many movies.

And the last fortress is Kamenetz-Podolsk fortress. It is an urban landmark. Every year thousands of tourists come from all over Europe to visit it. Podolsky fortress combines perfectly with the surrounding landscape and the medieval city structure. Thus, this is a unique fortification system, which has no analogues in Europe.
