The inspiration for the name Twenty One Pilots came from the play All My Sons. That is about a director of an aircraft compagny that delivered airplane cylinders to the Air Force, those plane cilinders were wrong and that caused 21 pilots to die, including perhaps his own son. Tyler Joseph was born on December 1 1988 in Columbus, Ohio and is now 28 years old. He has 2 brothers: Zack and Jay, and 1 sister: Madison. His parents: Kelly and Chris, who are both teachers at a high school, really supported him with his music carrier. Tyler married Jenna Black on march 28, 2015. They were engaged since july 2014. Tyler has a three-part tattoo which shows that something has saved his life back in time. His parents: Laura and William didn’t want him to listen to music so he would sneak out and go to the music store nearby and would especially look for music with guys with beards and a lot of tattoos. He always needed to hide his CDs for his parents. Josh taught himself to play drums when he was very young First band was originally House of Heroes, which he joined after the former drummer, Colin Rigsby, took a break to be with his family; When Rigsby returned, however, Dun went back to his job at a music store. Josh found TOP when former drummer Chris Salih invited him to a show; there he met Tyler, and the two instantly became besties. Blurryface, their latest album, is a character they thought of that represents insecurities. Tyler says that his insecurities cause him to feel suffocated, hence the black paint around his neck. He is also insecure about what he creates with his hands. Tyler not only wears this paint in music videos but also on stage. It is said that as he performs and the show goes on, the paint begins to fade, as do his insecurities in front of the crowd. Josh wears red make-up around his eyes, he calls this his “warpaint” because he fights his battles differently than his band-mate does.
