Today cars play an important role in our life, in fact we are totally dependent by cars and many people have more than one car in their house. So someone has proposed to ban the cars from majors cities, therefore I want to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of this proposal. First of all, it is true that a growing number of cars in the cities lead to a several problem such as pollution, traffic and noise.

Cars produce exhaust hazardus emissions, which are toxic not only for the human’s healt, but also for the environment. Walking in the street, driving a bicycle is going to become very dangerous especially for the children because the air is very toxic.

In addition, every day people spend a lot of their valuable time in a traffic jams. Especially during the rush hours, cars crowd the majors roads. Furthermore driving in this situation can cause the accident because driving in a congested area is very difficult. Also the acoustic pollution is a big problem: the horn, the noise of motors impairs the human’s hearing and every years a lot of old people become deaf.

Therefore, even if this idea has many advantages, it has also several negative aspects. Banning cars means that many people have to use the public transport, but not in all cities, it is very efficient. So the risk is that the people spend all their time waiting and traveling in the public transport, especially if they have to commute from a place to another. In fact, it means that they have to use different kinds of transport. Furthermore, during the rush hours, that public transport is crowded and so it is uncomfortable.

In conclusion, I think that cars represent a big problem especially in the majors cities, but perhaps the true solution is not only banning cars. In fact, an important role is played by education, in particular of the children who represent the future. They have to learn the proper management of transportation and energy.
