Summer time - essay
Pupils spend a lot of time at school. We write many reports, learn different rules and words, have dictations and of course we read many books during the year. In general I can say that we spend about 6 hours per day at school and minimum 3-4 hours we do our homework during 9 months. And it’s fair I guess if in summer we will have 100% vacation. Ok, in summer I have a lot of free time.

Ok, in summer I have a lot of free time. I have many hobbies, I meet my friends and read books sometime. I like to read psychological books, but at school my teachers give me a big list of books, that everyone has to read. It’s not right that we have to read a lot in summer. It’s ok if you are crazy about books, but it shouldn’t be necessary. Every teacher says that the subject is important. And there are many interesting books that I can choose instead of books from school program. But there are some novels we have to read at least once in our life. Classical literature, some poems will help you to improve your grammar and punctuation. Also they can tell us many interesting facts about our past or future, about our history or country.
Someone will not agree with this point of view. Unfortunately today not so many teenagers want to read in general. So a list from school will make a pupil to read at least half books. I have heard many times that smart people spend time reading and learning new things. And interest to read should come as early as possible.
Personally I think that pupils have to rest in summer. If someone wants to read a book or newspapers, there are shops, libraries and internet. Otherwise we read a lot at school and during all these 9 months we get a lot of new information.
