The most obvious advantage of living in consumerist society is better living standards. Consumers circulate turnover and that is how our standards of living is increasing. Another advantage is that people have wide range of products to select from.

    Ignacy Krasicki żył w latach 1735-1801. Był najwybitniejszym pisarzem polskiego oświecenia, autorem bajek, satyr, komedii i tekstów publicystycznych. Już za życia nazywano go księciem poetów. Ukończył seminarium duchowne w Warsszawie, studiował też w Rzymie. Po powrocie do Polski został kapelanem królewskim, a następnie biskupem warmińskim. Był współzałożycielem Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Nauki w Warszawie. Wraz z królem Stanisławem Augusteem Poniatowskim opracował program rozwoju polskiej kultury. Współredagował “Monitor” oraz publikował w “Zabawach Przyjemnych i Poożytecznych”.

    Recently, a heated debate arose when a few reputable health organizations suggested the application of a similar act of heroin selling and usage prohibition to tobacco products. In this essay, I will analyze why the adoption of such a law could be a breakthrough in our youngsters’ safety, according to my vision. Firstly, tobacco does not differ much from heroin when it comes to the addictive effect. Nicotine, the active ingredient in tobacco, exerts its effect by acting directly on smoker’s brain cells.
