The story focuses on the main character Robert Neville the only human left, who tries to survive on earth full of vampires. The book opens with a description of Robert Neville daily routine. Pandemic continues for three years and every day he tries to survive and find out the cause of pandemic and antidote.

  • Parents do not trust teenagers to run their own lives

Most psychologists agree with the idea that trust is a key to any kind of relationship. Nevertheless, I agree that parents usually do not trust their children for a variety of reasons. Nobody can deny that parents always try to protect their children. That is why they establish different rules, for example commendant hours. When they limit teenager’s freet time for their safety whereas children understand protection as a punishment. Parents usually can not stand the idea of their child gradually becoming a grown-up.

  • Topics for discussion (family/friends)

The modern generation of teenagers is less well-behaved than previous generations of teenagers. Parents should trust teenagers more to run their own lives. People used to think that the family played an important role in society but times have changed and now the family is much less important. What sort of things do children argue with their parents about? Which family member do you usually go to with your problems?

  • Music

People cannot live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street. Music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people’s ideas and emotions. In this world of ours, filled with conflicts, tragedies, joys and hopes, music strives to speak to people of what is most important, urgent and poignant.

  • SPARE THE ROD AND SPOIL THE CHILD

Violence has never been a way to teach or change someone. Yet a good many people use this method to impose discipline on their offspring. Others, who are just too busy working, simply put up with their kids’ misbehaviour. When parents give birth to a child, it has been, in most cases, their own decision to have it; therefore, e it is their obligation to take care of it, to provide it with normal home, education and safe environment.

  • Standards of morality generally improve as societies become more developed

It is difficult to answer this question, becouse we don’t know one definition of the word morality. Everyone has its own morality, however all of us know the basic norms of behaviour. For example sound in mind man knows that killing is not acceptable, or it’s bad to steal something. But do all people follow these norms? I was lucky that I wasn’t born in Africa or in Afganistan, where wars never end.
