Washington D.C (District of Columbia) is the capital of The United States of America. The city lies on a neutral territory, which means it doesn’t belong to any of 50 states. Washington is bounded on the north, east and south by state of Maryland and on the west by state of Virginia. There are two major rivers: Potomac river and Anacostia river.
