Ponowne wprowadzenie kary śmierci jest jedynym sposobem na rozwiązanie problemu coraz bardziej brutalnego świata w którym żyjemy

These days politicians in many countries debate endlessly about human rights, dignity of the individual and freedom to be born and die naturally. On the other hand, more and more voices are raising in support of the reintroduction of the death penalty. Is it a coincidence? Or is the world we live in getting too violent? Capital punishment seems to be the only solution for some. Let’s consider pros and cons of it.

Firstly, a vast majority of criminals are seriously scared of death. Recent studies have shown that nearly half of the felonies would not be committed if dead penalty was in effect. Secondly, how would you punish somebody who has already been punished? For instance, a prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment killing a guard or an inmate.

Nevertheless, death penalty is irreversible. This kind of miscarriage of justice cannot be compensated in any way. In addition, some may argue whether capital punishment is punishment at all. Nobody really knows what comes after death. Opponents of it also point out that it is immoral to decide about someone’s life. Finally, how anybody may be willing to perform the actual execution?

All in all, I believe death penalty should be reintroduced because of its educational role for a society. However, I do not think that it is the only possible solution and, for sure, other steps also should be taken. After all, we will not eliminate all the violence in the world but, at least, we can try to minimize it.
