Mary I (18 February 1516 – 17 November 1558) was Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. Mary was the daughter of the King of England and Ireland, Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. However, she did not have an easy childhood and she has never experienced an easy, carefree and “king” life. Her father- who still was getting married and then was cutting his wife - very quickly pushed away his first ladylove – a mother of a little Mary.

Mary was the daughter of the King of England and Ireland, Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. However, she did not have an easy childhood and she has never experienced an easy, carefree and “king” life. Her father- who still was getting married and then was cutting his wife - very quickly pushed away his first ladylove – a mother of a little Mary. Failed marriage and Henry’s spite of the lack of a male heir, underpinned the heavy atmosphere in the family. Under these conditions Mary grew up. Maria was very talented and extremely developed child. At the age of five years she could speak Latin, the princess also studied Greek, dancing and playing musical instruments _. From an early age she had a very strong character. The daughter was always very devoted with her mother and - like she - Mary remained faithful to the Catholic faith. It was thus extreminated by her father, who was a head of the Church of England. A few years later, Henry called Mary a bastard and demoted her to the role of “Miss Mary,” and she was nothing in the court. Like her mother, she had to live outside the royal palace. Luckily, fate quickly smiled to Mary. Henry’s third wife - Jane Seymour repaired King’s relations with his firstborn daughter. When she returned to the court, Mary made friends with her half-sister Elizabeth. Both, after their brother Edward, was next in line to the throne after their father. After the death of Henry, governments took the teen Edward. It caused constant conflicts between Mary and her brother. After a short rule of Edward, the authority took the Lady Jane Grey because Edward in his testament, deprived his sisters to be on the throne. Mary was determined to rule the England, so she removed from the political scene Jane and Queen came along with her sister Elizabeth into London. As a devout Catholic Queen Mary I declared war against Protestants. She had a simple plan against them - convert them to Catholicism or eliminated them. During her reign Mary released more than 300 death sentences. In this way she earned the nickname “Bloody Mary”. Mary was a very headstrong and obstinate person. Her severity was intensified by the fact that Philip II Habsburg - her husband with him, She was head over heels in love with him with him, but he did not return her feelings and he often left her alone in the royal palaces. This fact cause on her strong depression. In addition, she could not have children. Finally she died, wasted of many diseases, in 1558. She didn’t leave after herself a child.
