Nowdays more and more young people decide to institutionalise their parents in the nursering home. This idea is praticullary in developed countries. Situating folks in special places for old people has a lot of advantages and disadvantges. First advantage is assisatnce with daily folks. Nursing homes provide assistance to their residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, drinking, using resroom, ruuning errands and administering medication. Typical daily tasks can become increasingly difficult with old age. Many seniors lose their driver license and necessay skills at some point and are no longer able to drive to the local pharmacy. What is more, residing in nursery facality folks with a bulit- in social network of their peers. Senior residents can enjoy the company of others who live in the same building and share wheir experinces. Many nursing faclities also offer organizing social events open for participation from all residents. A large number of folks suffers from depression due to feelings of isolation from living alone and not having access to social activites. Nursing homes are an exellent sollution for these people. On the other hand, the institutionaliting seniors in nursing home has also a disadvantage. Family members of old people often think that putting them in nursering homes is the best way take care of them, because folk’s family do not have time or budget to do that. Moreover, children of old people do not realize that nursing homes ale places where their elders easily become helpless and loneling due to the fact that everything is taken away from them, they cannot do anuthing what they want. It can cause these nursering home resdents’s ilness to become more depressed. To sum up, I think that decision about putting parents in old people’s homes is really difficult and hard for every child. Even thought i tis not easy for family to decide to say goodbye to the folks. In my opinion this solution is really benefical for old parents and their children.
