What are the pros and cons of being the only child? There are some options about this subject. Some people feel better without siblings but others dream about brother or sister.

The main advantage of being the only child is that parents are much more focused on raising you. You are at the centre of their attention generates strong relationship with the parents. Moreover, you have everything for yourself. You don’t have to share the room, the computer and any other things. What is more you gets more presents and more money. Furthemore, you have everything new – you don’t get things, especially clothes, from his older sisters or brothers.

However, there are also disadvantages of being the only child. First of all, most of the only children are very spoiled and selfish. They are used to thinking that they are the most important people so they must have everything only for themselves. Moreover, at the certain stage of life you can realize that you won’t be an only child. It makes you sometimes feel lonely. Other children can go out with siblings for example to cinema or do shopping. The only child must call to friend or go alone.

To sum up, being the only child has many advantages but also a lot of disadvantages. In my own example I can say that I like being an only child. I have my own room, clothes, dog. I don’t have to argue with my sister if I took her skirt or I didn’t. Of course sometimes I feel lonely but it passes quickly from my mind.
