I agree that mass-media are considered to be the fourth branch of power ,because the press, the radio and television play a big role in the life of the society. Firstly They inform, educate and entertain people. They also influence the way people look at the world and make them change their views. In other words, mass media plays a very important role in organizing public opinion. Secondly millions of people watch TV ,read newspapers and listen the radio in their freetime . Thirdly it’s no secret that some of the TV and radio stations are owned by big corporations. Most of the new inventions and technologies become popular and well known with the help of mass media. Thus mass media promotes quality and progress in our everyday life. People need mass-media in order to keep up with the whole world around them — vogue, new trends of life, discoveries and inventions. The mass media include newspapers, magazines, radio and television.
