Advantages and disadvantages in city life and village life There is a tendency in the modern society to abandon the country and to migrate to the city.More and more people, especially young and well educated, decide to live in large metropolises rather than villages. The main factor that influences their decision is unemployment problem which is very acute in the country. Some say they never would have traded city to the countryside, others say the opposite, that the village is quieter and therefore live better. However, there are so many advantages and disadvantages in city life and village life. For me, as a man who lives in the village, there are many advantages for rural life, but I prefer to live in a city. First of all, life in a city is more comfortable. Because, there are more opportunities for people to progress in their lives. As well as people have more opportunities for making money. More and better medical facilities: In a city people get more and better medical facilities than the people of village. The second reason are - that children who living in the city and can get a good education, because in the town are better school than in the village. The most important thing is that there are a large shop complexions, banks, different services, educational courses, offices, cinemas, hostels, clubs, hospitals etc. in and around the city. People in the city have better transport facilities than the village. There is electricity, highway, communication, telecommunication, plumb facilities in the city. So people can lead a comfortable and enjoyable life in the city. Moreover, you have more job opportunities here. So, on the other hand, life in a city has some disadvantages. Because: Firstly, the cost of living is very high in the city. Most goods are very expensive. Secondly, there is no fresh air and pure water. The environment is polluted with dust, smoke, garbage and dioxide gases from factories. The streets are dusty and unclean. So it is hard to lead a healthy life in the city. The main idea for me, that our cities are overcrowded. Sometimes it takes hours to get to the necessary place. There are a lot of traffic jams in peak hour. That’s why people can be aggressive. As a result the crime rate is quite high. All things considering, it is obvious that both village life and city life have their advantages and disadvantages. Some people find metropolises more exciting and appealing than small towns but others prefer beauty and tranquillity of the countryside. Anyway, the choice whether to live depends on every person’s character and preferences.
