And odds of flying in a plane crash are one in eleven million. This is around twenty five thousand times safer than in a car. If you want arrive at some place of destination, than you should choose travel by plane, because this means of transport is the fastest and without stops. So, advantages of air transport:

In last time I travel only by bus from Tomsk to the home-town. This trip takes two hours and, frankly speaking, the bus is the most convenient type of transport for this trip.
