Nowadays, many people are thinking about music in the consumer society. Someone thinks that it influences people well, someone on the contrary believes that it should not have any influence on people at all. Who is right? As for me, I think that good music has a positive effect on people. Firstly, the scientists have proved that listening to classical music helps the brain to work. Secondly, many people cope with home affairs to music much faster. Thirdly, music helps people to relax and get rid of it, it’s not for nothing, wherever we are: in a restaurant or in a shopping center, music plays everywhere. However, there is another point of view on this issue. Thanks to music, we feel so comfortable that we stop watching the time and spend much more time in shopping centers. Also, music can form ideas about the world and now there are many children who listen to obscene songs with bad overtones and eventually grow up into horrible people who think that smoking, alcohol, disobedience and so on is cool. Nevertheless, I can`t agree with this statement, because if people gave more time to such children, they would learn to listen to good music and talk with them about how to behave properly in society, such children would not exist. In conclusion, I want to say that not music plays a significant role in the society of consumers, but the way it is presented.
