Introduction. This proposal contains my suggestion for our country’s contribution to the international festival in London. Cities. Russia’s capital city is Moscow. Moscow is a home to many important symbols of Russian culture, such as the Kremlin. Each city in Russia is unique and exhibits its own culture. For example, Kazan has a strong Tatar heritage and is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Siberian cities reflect the realities of living in the far east of Russia with its bitterly cold winters and ethnic communities. Cities along important trade routes, like the Volga, preserve elements of ancient Russia. I recommend a live performance of historic character in traditional costumes, which should bring the history and culture of different nations alive. Visitors might enjoy it! Russian Hospitality Russians love to accept guests and make great hosts. When in Russia, you don’t need to wait for a special occasion like a birthday or a holiday to visit a friend or a neighbor. Russians like visiting each other, meeting in friendly companies for dinner, or just stopping by to catch up on what’s going on. I suggest make Russian tea ceremony which has a long and interesting history. Visitors would be amazed by the most unique party in their life! Russian Arts and Crafts Russian handcrafted souvenirs make wonderful gifts and home decorations. The most well-known Russian craft is the matryoshka doll, or painted nesting doll. Finely decorated lacquer boxes also make special souvenirs. I am sure that all visitors will be interested in taking part in the special workshops. Conclusion. My proposal would give visitors a real taste of Russian culture, past and present, and I hope it meets with your approval.
